How do I get to Ayom Java Village?

Ayom Java Village is easily accessible from the main road, Jl. Adi Sucipto. You can see the direction in our maps here. It is only 15 minutes away from the Airport.

 

What is ‘Ajavi’?

Ajavi is a short name from Ayom Java Village. We do know that the name is rather long, so we make it shorter to make it easier for you to remember it.

 

Is Ajavi’s environment children friendly?

Ajavi is a villa compound which offer you and your family an experience of living in a Karawitan Village. We love to welcome our guests from all ages, and we are sure that children will have a wonderful time as well.

 

Can children stay unaccompanied in Ajavi?

Unfortunately they can not. Our policy allows only guest above 17 years old to stay unaccompanied. Anyone below 17 years of age will have to stay with their parents or guardian.

 

Do you offer airport transfer service?

Yes, we do. Please contact our team if you require any assistance regarding airport transfer as well as city tour and surroundings.

 

Are there any shopping areas near the hotel?

Yes, the nearest is Transmart Pabelan; 10 minutes drive from Ajavi. You will easily find various shops and entertainment there, including Carrefour supermarket and many restaurants.

 

Is there any convenient store near the hotel?

Yes, there are several convenient stores nearby. Our team can help you with the direction. 

 

Is there money-changer on site?

Unfortunately, there isn’t a money changer at our village. The closest is Xpress Money, which is about 15 minutes drive from Ajavi. Our team will help you with direction and transport arrangement should you need to exchange your money..  

 

How about ATM, is there any on site?

Unfortunately, we do not have any ATM at our village either. The nearest ATM is only few minutes drive from our village. Our team will be more than happy to help you with the direction.

 

Do you offer refunds?

Our refund policy is only applicable when requested at the latest 7 days before the intended staying date.

 

Facilities

Is there a parking facility available?

Yes, we do have a parking facility for cars and motorbikes. As for bus, we can accomodate small and medium size bus (between 14 to 38 seaters). 

*Please note that we do not charge any parking fee, if you experiencing otherwise, please report to us immediately.

 

What time is check-in and check out?

The check-in time is 2.00 pm and check out at 12.00 pm. Early check in and late check out is possible with additional charge and based on our villa avability. Should you require an early check in and/or late check out, kindly notify our team in advance.

 

Can I leave my luggage before check-in or after check out?

Yes, you are more than welcome to leave it with our team. We will give you a tag to collect your luggage when you’re ready.  

 

Is Ajavi pet friendly?

As much as we love animals, pets are not permitted in the village.   

 

Do you have a fitness area?

Yes, we do have a gym facility located on the 3rd floor of the Ayun Wellness and Spa. We also have a yoga class on the same floor. Please consult our team on arrival for the schedule.

 

How about spa facility?

Yes, we also have a complete facility to pamper your mind & body called Ayun Wellness & Spa. You will be mindfully taken care of by our therapists for a massage, facial or body and beauty treatments using 100% natural products. Kindly let our team know to arrange your reservation.

 

Are there any live art performances at Ajavi?

Yes, there will be live art performances every afternoon between 4 pm and 5.30 pm during your stay. The performances will feature traditional art from Karawitan music ensemble, to wayang kulit (shadow puppets).

 

Can I play the Karawitan instrument?

Yes, absolutely! In fact each villa is equipped with one piece of Karawitan instrument for you to start practicing. However, we do ask your mindfulness to treat them with care. Please refrain yourself from using it as photo prop to sit or stand on.

The complete set at the Pendhapa Seni however, are only allowed to be played with supervision as they are used daily and professionally by the performers. Just let us know if wish to try, and we’re more than happy to show you how.

 

Is there Internet access in the Ajavi?

Complimentary wifi connection is available in your villa and public facilities. Please note that the speed is limited to 5 Mbps per villa.

 

Do you have swimming pool?

Each villa is equipped with its own private pool (1.3-1.4 meters deep). Our main pool is located in the center of the village compound, just by the restaurant and Sasangka Pendhapa. It’s very easy to find should you feel like swimming in a bigger pool. Operational hour is from 6:00 am – 8:00 pm. Our main pool is 1.4 meters deep with a shallow end at 0.5 meters deep. On that note, please be advised that there is no lifeguard on duty. Kindly be more mindful and careful when swimming. Especially when with children.

 

Do you have swimming specifically pool for kids?

No, we don’t. Our shared swimming pool is designed for adults but it also has a shallow end where most kids of the older age can comfortably stand. However, we strongly suggest that children under the height of 1.4 meters must be accompanied by adults, and have to wear inflatable arm bands or life vest when using the swimming facilities.

 

Can I use the swimming pool even when I am not staying in Ajavi?

Unfortunately no. Our swimming pool is dedicated only for in-house guests to maintain utmost comfort.

 

Can I arrange a pre-wed photoshoot at Ajavi?

How about wedding celebration?

It is an honor for us to witness happy couples beginning a new life together at our place. Especially when it is officiated here at Ajavi’s Nuptial House. Villa

How many villas do you have?

We have 23 villas, each is with a private pool.

 

What is so special about the villas?

Our villas are made with plenty of heart and love. They are built using handpicked old teak woods and jackfruit woods, as well as doors and windows from different limasan houses around Java (Boyolali, Yogyakarta, Kulonprogo and the eastern part of Magelang). With what was left, we reconstructed identical – albeit smaller, limasan houses as our way of honoring the legacy of each original limasan and its family.

 

Is there any meaning or philosophy to it?

Yes. Each part of the house itself has its own meaning. Let’s take our limasan roof for example, which represents the highest relationship between human as a creature with the creator. You can go to our website to learn more about each of the philosophy.

 

How many types of villas are available ?

There are 5 types of villa. Each villa have different sizes, according to its type, but they are all equally comfortable.  

 

Which villa should I stay if I come with a group of family members or colleagues?

We recommend you to stay at Maduswara. Maduswara is a compound with 3 private villas inside. It features a larger private pool than the rest of the villas, and a 2-storey gazebo by the pool. The Maduswara is perfect to accommodate larger groups and families who enjoy spending time together.

 

What about for single guest or a couple?

Each villa have 1 king size bed, and if you are traveling alone or with your partner, you can stay at Janur, Tunjung, Gelung, or Manik Jejantung villa. 

 

How many people are allowed to stay in a villa?

All of our villas are designed for two adults with the addition of maximum 1 child under 12 years old is allowed.

 

Do you provide extra beds?

Yes, we do. However, due to the space, extra bed is only possible in Gelung & Manik Jejantung villas and costs IDR 350.000/night.  Should there be any additional guest, they are strongly advised to stay in different villas to ensure comfort.

 

Do you provide baby crib?

Yes, we do. However, it depends on availability, so please request it to our team ahead of time.

 

Do you have connecting villas?

Yes, we do. Our connecting villas are Janur 2 to 5, and Janur 4 to 7.

 

Do you have villas with a bathtub?

Yes, bathtubs are available at all Gelung, Manik Jejantung and Maduswara villas.

 

Do you have villas for disabled?

Yes, we dedicate one villa to accommodate this needs. Wheelchair and other supporting aids are also available upon requests. Kindly contact our team prior arrival for any request.

 

Is room service available?

Yes, our team is ready to serve you 24 hours. You may want to try our floating breakfast service on your private pool! It’s definitely an experience not to miss!

 

Do you have mini bar?

Yes, we do. All of our villas are setup with complimentary minibar. We also have complimentary jamu – traditional herbal drink – along with tenongan – traditional deliciacies – presented to you in the most authentic Javanese style, going door to door to offer you snacks of the day. This experience starts daily at 4.00 in the afternoon.

 

Do you have any hairdryers?

Yes, hairdryer is provided in every villa.

 

Is smoking in the villa allowed?

We have a strict no smoking policy in the villa. However, smoking is permitted in the restaurant area. So you are most welcome to stop by our restaurant should you want to smoke.

Is there a restaurant at Ajavi?

Yes, there is. Godhong Gedhang serves the best locally-sourced ingredients with the delicate richness of Indonesian traditional food and authentic cooking methods.

 

Can I have breakfast/lunch/dinner even if I am not staying in Ayom Java Village?

Of course you can! Our restaurant is open for public daily from 10.00am to 10.30pm.

 

Is vegetarian cuisine available in the restaurant?

Yes, we offer a selection of vegetarian and vegan dish at our restaurant.

 

Banquet & Meeting 

 

Do you have meeting room?

Yes, we do. Our bright and airy meeting room is suitable to host a more intimate or private functions.  It can can accomodate up to 70 people theatre style, 50 people classroom, 32 people roundtable, and 70 people  for semi standing events.

 

How do I book a meeting and what are the packages offered?

Our package is customized for each client’s needs, so you can be sure that it will suit your preference. Our package pricelist varies depending on the details, number of person, preferrred F&B options, the duration, and so on. Reservation & Cancellation
 

Why do we need to fill in guest information?
Our guest information is a legal documentation to ensure that guests are aware about our terms and conditions. By having information about our guests, it may also help to tailor the treatments should specific conditions are indicated such as allergies, pregnancy, recent injuries, and so on.
 

Can I change my treatment package after arriving at the spa?
Yes, you may change your treatment package after arriving at the spa. However, if your new treatment is charged less than your original booking, we will charge you a minimum of 50% of your original booking (whichever is higher).

What will happen if I arrive late at the spa?
Please contact us to make another appointment as soon as possible. If we can accommodate your appointment, we will keep it that way. However, if we are already at full capacity, we would like to seek for your understanding that we may have to reduce your treatment to only the available time window we have.

Why is my appointment being cancelled?
We will keep all booked appointments on the system. We only cancel appointment due to the following reasons:
1. As per guest request.

2. Guest is more than 15 minutes behind schedule and with no prior update.
3. Guest is unreachable after several attempts of contact to confirm the appointment .

I have no internet connection or phone credit to contact you to advise that I am late. Will you still cancel my appointment?
Regretfully, we will still cancel your appointment.

Treatments

What do you use for the massage oil?
We use a combination of virgin coconut oil and peppermint essential oil, known as the ultimate combination for relaxation.

I am pregnant, can I have a treatment?
Congratulations on your pregnancy! We will still be able to massage you with techniques specifically tailored for expecting mothers whose pregnancy is still under 6 months. If 6 months or older, we’d be happy to recommend you to have other treatments at our spa.

Can we have options of the oil/aromatherapy used for the treatment?
At this stage, we continue to search and find a different type of oil/aromatherapy that meets our criteria. We will be sure to notify our guests when new variety or scent is added to our oil/aromatherapy selections.

Are the ingredients for the body scrub organic?
As we strive to achieve the best quality in our delivery, our body scrub is home-made from a high quality organic local products.

What do you use for facial products?
We are collaborating with Sensatia Botanicals, a local company based in Bali to provide us with all our facial products. Sensatia Botanicals is one of the most recognisable Bali-based brands known for its great line of fine natural soap bars, skincare and wellness products.

Do you offer gel polish treatment? 
We are trying to reduce our impact on the environment and take your overall wellness into consideration. We found that gel nail polish has a more damaging effect than expected.
Facilities

How many treatment rooms do you have?
There are six rooms available. Two couple rooms equipped with Jacuzzi, two common treatment rooms,  and two sauna rooms.

How big is your treatment room?
Our common treatment rooms can accommodate approximately 6 beds each, while our sauna room can accommodate up to eight guests.

Is en-suite bathroom available in the couple room?
No it is not. As our massage oil is made of virgin coconut oil and organic essential oils that serve as natural body moisturizer, often our guests opt out from washing their massage oil down. If you still wish to clean up, our therapist may provide assistance with the body wipes or feel free to take a shower in the available shower rooms outside.

Do you have sauna and whirlpool at the spa?
Yes, we have two sauna rooms and our Jacuzzi tubs are whirlpool tubs.



Tipping

Is tipping the therapist allowed?
Tipping at Ayun Wellness & Spa is customary, if you find our service satisfactory or exceed your expectations, the team will surely appreciate the gesture.


How much should I tip?
There is no fixed amount to tipping, however, the range is normally anywhere between Rp20.000 – Rp50.000. As such, we leave it up to you as to how much you would like to reward our team.

What is in your tea?
It is lemon ginger tea made of organic ginger, a touch of lemon and organic palm sugar. This is known to boost your energy so you can feel fresh to go about your next activities after the treatment.

I accidentally leave my belongings, how do I get it back?
Although we will do our best to ensure that you bring all your belongings before leaving, we will follow the lost and found procedure in the event of losing items.
Please contact us as soon as you know that you leave your belongings at our spa.

What should I bring or not bring with me to the spa?
We advise you to bring yourself in a relaxed state when arriving at our spa. It is best to not wear any valuables such as jewellery with you.
